On Sunday we celebrate the animal creation in the “Harmony of Christian Faith and Scientific Pursuit” series. The animal pictures provided are either of family pets or wild animals taken by some of you. Enjoy, and give praise to God for the splendor of the animals. Isn’t it wonderful to think of the animal creation giving praise to God at the return of Christ? Read of it in Revelation 5.
Next Sunday we will study the story of Noah and the flood. This story is extremely problematic for moderns on two fronts. The first is theological. How could God destroy all of humanity but for one family? If there is a God, how could he be so mean? The second has to do with modern evolutionary theory’s bias toward slow change versus the rapid change of a worldwide flood. Let’s have a look at Scripture and science regarding a world wide flood. Remember, all truth is God’s truth. Where Bible and science seemingly collide, it’s a problem of interpretation on one side or the other, or perhaps on both.

“Everything exposed by the light becomes visible --and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’” ~Ephesians 5:13-14
