GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE & COMMUNION – A special service of remembrance and communion is planned for tonight at 7 PM at Crown Point Christian School. All who have saving faith, and have taken a public stand for Jesus Christ in a Christian church are encouraged to participate in the communion. All are welcome to the worship service where we will reflect on how Christ's sacrifice has provided salvation to us all.
“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” ISAIAH 53: 3-6
PROFESSION OF FAITH – Next week Sunday we will hear three of our young people profess their faith in Jesus Christ. You will be invited to underline a text and sign your name in their personal Bibles. Please come ready to witness professions of faith and commend scriptures to them.
All are welcome to join us for worship on Easter Sunday. Easter is the day we celebrate Christ’s victory in rising from the dead. If he did that, anything is possible!! I will be preaching a sermon titled “Resurrection Power Delivered to Us”. The Bible says that the resurrection power of Jesus Christ is available to all of us. What does this mean? How can that promise be true? Join us on Easter Morning to hear more.
Do Pathway children listen in church? Yes!! Proof: A Pathway little child spoke out loudly this week at Aldi in front of a group of shoppers. She proclaimed: “Hi, my name is Christian. And I try to walk the Christian walk of faith, but it’s just so hard!” This was almost word for word the line that Christian said each week in our “Glittering Vices” dramas. They are listening. What do you adults remember?
