On Sunday we welcome Jim Hollendoner, Pastor of Congregational Life at First CRC of Crown Point. Jim has pastored at First for a little over 2 years now. He and his wife, Kari, have two awesome little boys, with another boy coming in December! Jim writes, “I’m very excited to be worshiping with all of you; my hope and prayer is that we can open God’s word and live in the truths He shows us.” Jim's message is titled "Focus on the Finish" and is based on Hebrews 12: 1-3. As runners in the race of faith on this side of eternity, what are we focusing on? All too often we focus on our surrounds or ourselves. As Christ followers, we need to be focused on the finish of the race.
Next Sunday, July 24, we will welcome Juan Wagenveld back to Pathway. Pastor Wagenveld preached many times at Pathway Church during our vacancy, and he has been a great friend to this congregation. He appreciates our vision and sees a bright future for our church. We look forward to Juan’s return and appreciate his ability to preach the word of God. John leads Multiplication Network Ministries where he encourages church planting and Bible distribution through a large and growing network around the globe. John and his family now live in Holland, Michigan but his ministry is still locally based. Next Sunday is also Name Tag Sunday, and we will receive an offering during the worship service for Multiplication Network Ministries. The JAM and Kidz Rock children will also be staying in the service.
