A Flood . . .

Continuing in our current sermon series on Sunday, "The Harmony of Christian Faith and Scientific Pursuit," we will study the story of Noah and the flood in several passages of Genesis. This story is extremely problematic for moderns on two fronts. The first is theological. How could God destroy all of humanity but for one family? If there is a God, how could he be so mean? The second has to do with modern evolutionary theory’s hypothesis of slow change versus the rapid change of a worldwide flood. Let’s have a look at Scripture and science regarding a world-wide flood. Remember, all truth is God’s truth. Where Bible and science seemingly collide, it’s a problem of interpretation on one side or the other, or perhaps on both.

Then Greg launched into a story how he didn’t know Christ when at Calvin College and no one had witnessed to him. . . . Tom picks it up from there in the blog post. You can read it at pathwaycrc.org under the “Resource” tab.
