This Sunday we will continue the series "Glittering Vices: Seven Misguided Pursuits of Happiness." This week we will discuss gluttony with a sermon titled: “Feeding the Face, Starving the Heart.” We will focus on Philippians 3:18-20: “For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
ARE YOU BEING CALLED? – The Leadership Team is starting to prepare for our next transition and will be looking for leaders to step up and help guide and serve the church through the next few years. We will begin soliciting names for potential team members in April. Please start giving some consideration to your role at Pathway and if serving on the church council may be the right thing to do as you look to take the “next step” in your faith journey. Be in prayer and listen to God’s voice. He may be calling you for a reason! Building and serving His kingdom provides rich rewards. Details to come.
“You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him”. ~Deuteronomy 13:4
FAMILY NIGHT FUN – will be this coming Wednesday night, March 22. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. with Pink, Blue and Adult programming following dinner. Let’s spend some time together with our families before heading off to Spring Break.
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE / COMMUNION – The next celebration of the Lord's Supper will be on Good Friday, April 14. Our service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Crown Point Christian School. By then we will have heard how vices wrap their way around our moral character through this series called “Glittering Vices.” We should all be ready for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ as seen on the cross of Calvary, and as commemorated in the Lord’s Supper. If you have saving faith and have taken a public stand for Jesus Christ in a church, you are welcome to participate in the Lord’s Supper. Park Place Residents - We hope to offer the bus on Good Friday so you can join us for this special service.
